AXEFALL

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

We built Axefall to be played, not to watch you. This page explains, in plain language, what information we handle and what we do with it.

Who we are

“Axefall,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Noah Smith, the developer of the Axefall game for iPhone and iPad and the operator of axefall.com. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at axefallgame@gmail.com.

This policy covers the Axefall app and this website. If we add other products or services, we will say so here or give them their own policy.

The Axefall game

We do not collect, receive or store any personal information from the Axefall app. Specifically:

  • Your game progress, settings and the upgrades you buy with in-game gold are saved on your device only.
  • There are no accounts or sign-ins.
  • The app does not include analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
  • We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or advertising identifier.

Because the app does not send information to us, we have nothing to look up, export or delete about your gameplay. If you delete the app, your saved progress on that device is deleted with it. Depending on your iOS settings, your device backups (for example in iCloud) may include app data. Those backups are handled by Apple under its own terms.

Apple may collect its own information when you download or use apps, such as purchase records and, if you choose to share them, crash reports. That is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and we do not receive personal information from it.

This website and the launch list

You can browse axefall.com without giving us any information. If you choose to join the launch list, this is what we collect and why:

WhatWhy
Email address, which you type into the formTo email you once when Axefall launches.
Sign-up time and form (the top or bottom of the page)To keep the list tidy and understand which form works.
Browser details (your browser's “user agent” text)To spot spam and abuse of the form.

Things that happen automatically

  • Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as your IP address and request details to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Spam protection. We briefly look at your IP address to limit how many times the sign-up form can be submitted. We do not save it with your email.
  • Page-view counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other sites.

Cookies. This site does not set cookies of its own, so there is no cookie banner.

Joining the launch list is optional and based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights and choices” below).

How we use your information

We use the launch-list information only to:

  • email you when Axefall is available;
  • keep the list accurate, secure and free of spam; and
  • answer you if you contact us.

We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles from it, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We only use service providers who help us run the site and the list, and only for that purpose:

  • Supabase stores the launch list in a database located in the United States.
  • Vercel hosts this website and provides cookie-free page-view analytics.
  • An email service may be used to send the launch email. If we pick one, it will only receive your email address for that purpose.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the security of our services. If the business is ever sold or merged, the list could transfer to the new owner, who would have to honor this policy.

Ads (not in the game yet)

Today, Axefall has no ads. We may later add optional rewarded ads, where you can choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game reward. Ad providers can collect device identifiers and information about how you interact with ads.

If we add ads, then before that version is released we will update this policy and the privacy details on our App Store page to describe exactly what is collected and by whom. Where Apple requires it, the app will ask for your permission before any tracking, and you will be able to say no and keep playing.

How long we keep it

  • Launch-list emails: until we have sent the launch email, and we will delete the list within 90 days afterwards. If you ask us to remove your email sooner, we will.
  • Messages you send us: as long as needed to help you, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you write back.
  • Hosting and analytics data: kept by Vercel under its own retention periods.

Your rights and choices

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to delete your email address from the launch list, send you a copy of what we hold about you, or correct it. Email axefallgame@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We may need to confirm it is really you. We aim to respond within 30 days, and we will never charge you or treat you differently for asking.

If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law

You may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information in these ways. In the past 12 months, the only categories we collected were identifiers (your email address) and internet or device information (the browser details above). You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland

Our legal basis for the launch list is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting what we did before. You also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to receive it in a portable format. You can complain to your local data protection authority, but we would appreciate the chance to fix things first.

Unsubscribing

Any email we send will tell you how to opt out. You can also just reply “remove me” to axefallgame@gmail.com.

Children

Axefall and this website are meant for teens and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please do not join the launch list. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

The launch list is stored in an access-controlled database over encrypted connections, and the public website can only add new entries to it, not read them back. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold. If a breach affecting you ever occurs, we will tell you as the law requires.

International transfers

Our providers store and process information in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred there. We rely on our providers' standard contractual and legal transfer safeguards where the law requires them.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top whenever we change this policy. If a change is significant, such as adding ads or analytics to the game, we will tell you before it takes effect, for example on this website and in the App Store listing.
